Chief Development Officer
Location: Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains

Why You'll Love This Role:
As the Chief Development Officer, you'll work alongside our Chief Executive Officer, Board of Directors, and Advisory Councils, playing a key role in shaping the future of our organization. You'll lead a talented team dedicated to fundraising and grant management, and you’ll engage with major donors to help ensure we continue to be a force for good in the community.
You’ll also have the chance to:
  • Develop innovative fundraising strategies, from major gifts to capital campaigns.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, corporations, and foundations.
  • Lead grant management efforts to secure vital resources.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Guide the Resource Development team and act as a visionary for future fundraising initiatives.
  • Fundraising: Drive strategies for major gifts, planned giving, corporate partnerships, and annual campaigns.
  • Grant Management: Identify and pursue grant opportunities while ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Administration: Report progress to the CEO and Board, manage donor records, and ensure reconciliation with the Finance Department.
  • Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of development and grant professionals.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven success in fundraising, including major gifts, annual campaigns, and grant writing.
  • Stellar communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership abilities and experience managing a high-performing team.
  • A passion for our mission and a commitment to driving positive change.
  • A desire to travel and engage with our communities frequently.
